Site Survey
An AED only helps if it’s reachable. A site survey ensures the right placement.
Why Placement Matters
Evidence indicates that the probability of survival is highest when defibrillation occurs within approximately three minutes of cardiac arrest. Our assessments evaluate practical reach times, access constraints, and coverage to ensure AEDs are placed where they can be reached promptly.
What a Site Assessment Includes
- On-site visit by qualified assessor
- Evaluation of coverage, access, and practical deployment considerations
- Review of high-occupancy zones, restricted areas, outdoor spaces
- Consideration of high-risk activities
- Recommendations for quantity and placement
- Written report with clear recommendations
Factors Considered
- Building size and floor count
- Occupancy and visitor profile
- Outdoor areas and remote sections
- Access restrictions
- Emergency services response time
- Fleet vehicles and mobile workers
Approach to Quantity Recommendations
There is no universal formula. We assess risk, occupancy, access constraints, and practical reach times to recommendappropriate numbersand locations. Every site is different — that is why we assess in person.
